As the pressure on our climate and the ecosystem grows, we need to be aware of what and how we eat.
Did you know that food production causes up to a third of global greenhouse gases (GHG) and is responsible for two-thirds of water usage, according to the WHO?
If we want a healthy planet, we need to look at our food production and consumption and make sure they are sustainable. This is a win-win opportunity because such a diet is good for our health as well as the planet.

When it comes to the causes of climate change, the food sector is one of the main culprits. In fact, more than a third of the world’s man-made Greenhouse Gas emissions are caused by our food systems. (11)

The climate crisis is a pressing issue that governments, consumers and especially companies can no longer ignore.
According to the Breakthrough National Centre for Climate Restoration in Melbourne, Australia, we face a “near- to mid-term existential threat to human civilization” in the coming 30 years if the climate crisis isn’t addressed. (1)

Today, we are once again going to witness record-breaking sales during the second biggest online Shopping Bonanza in the world known as Black Friday. This comes merely two weeks after the China’s Single’s Day, the clear leader with more sales than Black Friday and Cyber Monday combined. With all major brands massively discounting their products, November has become one of the busiest shopping seasons of the year.
It is not difficult to see that e-Commerce is here to stay. But what do these eye-watering figures mean for the environment? Let’s take a closer look.

When it comes to reducing emissions, businesses, especially in the F&B sector, have their work cut out for them. Not only is it becoming increasingly important to minimise their own emissions but they also need to consider the sizable amount of emissions caused by their entire value chain, that is by suppliers they work with as well as the end of life of their products when their customers dispose of the product the company produced.
Also, Finger weg von Avocados?
