How Food Retailers and Brands Can Unlock Value using Farm-level Data

The grocery retail industry faces significant challenges in decarbonization. These challenges include making supply chains greener, using eco-friendly packaging, reducing waste, saving energy in stores and distribution centers, and decreasing emissions from transportation. To achieve these goals, food retailers need to collect an enormous amount of data, particularly data from their supply chain, which typically represents the largest portion of their total emissions, known as scope 3 emissions.
